Minecraft to integrate Twitch streaming
In what could perhaps be seen as the breaking of a very minimal barrier, Mojang has announced at Minecon that they will be integrating streaming to Twitch.tv into the game.

Ahead of Call of Duty: Ghosts’ launch on Tuesday, a new live-action ad for the game about a foursome of dudes having and “Epic Night Out” in which they play Call of Duty on the couch while imagining they are playing IRL Call of Duty and hitting on the lady soldier they see now that that’s a thing in CoD multiplayer.
Game Dev Tycoon only $6 on Steam today
Today’s “daily deal” on Steam — these actually last two days — is Game Dev Tycoon, and it is 40 percent off. I’m telling you this because that game is the only place where civilians can get a completely authentic, accurate and exhaustive view of how game development works. The picture after the break proves it.
SpeedRunners singleplayer to be released for free following success of pirated previous game
CommentTinyBuild are doing something a little unusual: they're releasing their new game for free and they’re doing it because of the positives of piracy.
Instead of taking the standard line, tinyBuild’s Alex Nichiporchik tells us “Don't buy into developers blaming piracy for lost sales, it's just silly.”
Bungie say developing Destiny for PC would “spread ourselves so thin that it negatively harms the other platforms”
Comments4Since the announcement of Bungie’s new game, Destiny, there’s been a frustratingly coy back and forth about whether we’ll see the sci-fi MMO come to PC. Today’s word on the subject is to simmer down, they’re working on bringing it to four other platforms already and Bungie worry working on a fifth would spread themselves “so thin that it negatively harms the other platforms”.
Batman: Arkham Origins technical issues will be fixed promises Warner Bros.
Comments3Warner Bros. released Arkham Origins onto the PC last week, and as players took to their crusade against Gotham’s corrupt and villainous, they started to discover an ensemble of irritating-to-game-breaking bugs and technical problems. From being locked in rooms to infinitely falling out of the world, players’ quest to take down Black Mask wasn’t going as smooth as could hoped.
Thankfully Warner Bros. has acknowledged the problems in Arkham Origins, and has promised us all they’ll be erased quicker than Batman can put the Joker behind bars.
Epic’s Fortnite Still Exists, Now At Bulletstorm Dev
By Nathan Grayson on November 2nd, 2013 at 5:00 pm.
It has been far, far longer than a fortnight since we last heard even the slightest peep about Epic’s Fortnite. Many fortnights, in fact – enough to bridge the gap between last year’s PAX Prime and this very day. During that span, renowned puppy eater and fearless chainsaw-gun entrepreneur Cliff Bleszinski departed the studio for somehow greener pastures and also another Gears of War game came out or something I guess. The latter, however, was developed by Bulletstorm developer People Can Fly, who now happens to be on – you guessed it – Fornite. Also, they’ve been rechristened Epic Games Poland, a distinctly less optimistic (yet far more factually accurate) name, if you ask me.
Hey: You Can Play The Aaru’s Awakening Demo
By Jim Rossignol on November 2nd, 2013 at 11:00 am.
Exquisitely pretty 2D platformer Aaru’s Awakening has released a demo to aid with their progress on the old Greenlight treadmill. What’s the word? This: “Aaru’s Awakening is a hand drawn 2D action platformer. The game requires players to make the most of Aaru’s two mobile abilities – teleportation and charging – as he travels through the world of Lumenox to defeat an evil entity. These two abilities are at the heart of every level design throughout the game, to make a challenging and fluid experience.” But can it challenge the current line up of 2D platforming prowess we have on PC? YOU DECIDE.
Video ‘neath ‘o here.

Real Magic: Shaman – Shadows of the Last Immortal
By Jim Rossignol on November 1st, 2013 at 8:00 pm.
You there, are you interested in “a real-time strategic spell casting game based on the concepts of Wu Xing”? No? Well, you should be. Permit me to explain: High Iron Studios are making Shaman – Shadows of the Last Immortal, which is a bit of a mouthful, but leads us to a game about cast magic in carefully simulated duels. The developer explains: “Players must gather spell components from the mountain peaks, forge power medicines and magics, and then use those magics in real-time, arena-style spell duels in order to cure an ancient race of heroes who have been damned for eternity.” With 100 different spells you can make, and an intricate spell-casting system, it looks really rather interesting. There are a couple of videos explaining it all, below.
