He's right though.

I and others looking forward to it are getting it regardless of whether it's 720x1280 or 720x880. It won't affect my enjoyment.

You have width and height reversed nobody's looking forward to even seeing how horrible it looks at 720x1280.

Why, your pretty much going to forget about the resolution with a hour or two. Gameplay is what keep your attention in the long run along with visual not graphic (though it is a nice bouns) That's why I plan to buy Infamous Second Son, Destiny, Mario 3D World, Sonic Lost World, Knack ....well you get my drift.
