For my own sinister reasons, games released after October 31st, 2013 will not be counted.
This means no:
- Super Mario 3D World (gasp!)
- Any PlayStation 4 games (sigh!)
- Any Xbox One games (no!)
- Gran Turismo 6 (Ethomaz!)
- The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds (curses!)
- etc. etc. (Death to Smeags!)
But seriously, I feel that it's important for every game to have a certain amount of time to be properly digested by each and every gamer. We've all had that game that we've declared to be TEH BESTEST EVAR when we initally played it, but with time realising that it wasn't as good as we thought it was (or in some cases it's the exact opposite reaction, where a game we didn't enjoy just clicked with us down the road).
All that and the other rules have been added.
