I like them for the same reason I LOVED Resistance 3.  The SP can be enjoyed on its own.  Now KZ has awesome MP (not a fan but it gets rave reviews from those who are in to online MP) but I'm just saying from the perspective of someone who only plays SP mostly (gonna try KZ:SF MP but still) I have thoroughly enjoyed KZ1-3 (though 2 definitely stands out for me)

SP is the big draw for me as well.
