When they're storming the beach (wtf?..), you see a giant flaming rock catapaulted towards him and his fellow soldiers that explodes on impact. Now civilizations like the Greeks were known for using large pottery shaped projectiles, filled with oil and other materials, that acted as a type of explosive artillery. They were smaller in shape and spherical, while this you clearly see in just a big rock.
