.well, i also like to play my pc games on my sofa and don't need a console for that. you also don't have to change your gpu every year. that is a big exaggeration as long as you don't want to play the games really in the sickest quality and also want to do some other stuff with it like cgi does. and don't tell me that it takes so much longer nowadays to start a pc which could be always connected to your tv to open steam big picture. driver updates are also not so horrible, maybe if you use multiple gpus...
if you would build a good pc now you don't have to buy a new one next year to play cod modern warfare 4 or whatever we will get then...
