Selling in more places does not equal more sales. If anything that means that Xbox will be more available in the US which has more people buying it.

I do not necessarily disagree with you. My theory is that anyone who would opt to cover 20+ countries, should have the amount of hardware necessary to back this operation up. Still, in the USA, the preorders are on PS4's side, according to this very portal. Even if we assume that they are even, 10 more countries is quite hard to be covered with less than a million units.
