sure it is, if say AC4 could be played fully with off screen play that means that whatever function the gamepad had probably wasnt important anyway or the game doesnt have any gamepad function. Its my understanding that most games on the system are like this, or am I wrong?

the OPTION to play in off tv mode (the mode most games were made, since they're ports from other systems) does not diminish in any way the extra features the gamepad offers.

what are some of these extra features in a lot of these games. Especially the ports. besides a map on the screen.
