I think a lot of people never bought a console at launch. There are always problems. You can consider yourself lucky if it's just the OS. Remember the PS3 at launch? We had just about nothing. Not even text chat, not even in-game XMB. Wanna send a message to a friend? Well, you have to exit your game first! And it was even slower than today, even if that is hard to imagine. The PS4 will also have trouble at launch. A console never releases perfectly. If you expect a flawless experience, don't buy at launch. Seriously.
The Vita also needed time to get better when it comes to OS. At launch, we couldn't watch any videos and we had to exit a game just to browse the internet. Right now, you have a youtube app and you can watch a lot of videos in the browser. You also don't have to exit a game, it all runs in the background. Just give the systems some time, for fuck's sake. It will take more than months, even after a full year, there will still be problems on PS4 as well as on Xbox One. If you can't live with problems: DON'T BUY AT LAUNCH! Got it?
