I think that a 60gb ps3 is a better value at $500 (if you use it for more than gaming) than a wii is at $250.

For someone who uses a ps3 exclusively for gaming, $500 is very expensive. however, i do remember paying $499 canadian along with a $50 memory card for a launch ps2.
