Sony PS4 runs hotter than PS3 (updated!!)

You are still mixing the ambient temperature (inside the room, outside the box)  with the operating temperature (inside the box).

The ambient temperature of many devices is 0 - 5° C minimal room temperature to 35 - 40° maximal room temperature. But if your room is hotter than 35° C or colder than 10° C you will have other urges than playing games. ;)

The normal operating temperature of the PS4, PS3 and many other electronic devices will be higher, probably each between 40° and 60° C.
