I don't think that will happen. Sure there is not a lot of games using it fully, but if we remove it from the sku, we would probably never see any developers use it because not everyone will have it. You can't really compare it to the 3ds because the 3d gave people headaches and it was a risk to children's eyes. I highly doubt the Gamepad will be something risky for children. I can see them include pro controllers, but not removing something that separates itself from it's other competitors.
