Sonic Colours is sorely missing from lists so far. IMO it's still the best post-SEGA hardware Sonic title.
Generations was great too, but for some reason the engine had odd control glitches left over from Unleashed, which Colours had completely eradicated.
Mad World was a game I never got on with. But I have to say Metallicube's list is full of games any self respecting gamer should try! Though a few of them now have superior versions on other formats, Muramasa's definitive version is definitely the Vita port and House of the Dead Overkill is nicer on PS3. IMO a $50 Wii is worth cost of entry just for Xenoblade Chronicles.
A Boy and his Blob is amazing! As is De Blob, had hours of fun with that one!
I do think Wii U is becoming a viable option now though and personally would say if cost of entry isn't an issue, Wii U is the one to go for due to future exclusives it'll have and the HDMI output that Wii didn't have.
