Online race-types mentioned on the site are Battle, Grand Prix and Teamplay, with the game host selecting race settings while the group itself votes for a track. No not sodding Rainbow sodding Road. It's also possible to race against Ghosts of other players, including Ghosts of rivals who are only slightly better than you. If you're shy, you can also choose not to share Time Trial Ghosts with the rest of the world. |
Not sure why this source doesn't understand spectator mode. I hope you can do that for top level matches if you don't want to race, but something tells me you might be forced in the race. Motorstorm and Ridge Racer made you wait in a lobby for the race to finish, though, so at least you can watch this one.
I'm glad you can do Teamplay online, and hopefully unlock stuff just like single player or offline multiplayer. I love Rainbow Road since SNES, so I'll vote for that every time, btw, heh...j/k.
Racing against ghosts will be nice and will lessen my want for spectator mode.
