And just to prove your point wrong, i dont think renting games is legal in most of europe. Also, you have no basis for what you are saying. I have both system, the online play experience is exactly the same. Except in one you have to pay for it.

$4 is a pittance.

That's less than 1/4th of the minimum wage here, so you would probably only have to do 10 minuits of work to pay that in a month.
