So, you're saying micrsoft didnt introduce them? May i direct you to that hard-drive in your Xbox system?
Sony had to implement them to please the 3rd parties and they did not copy all practices. PSN is still free on the PS3, but the rollercoaster keeps going forward and if the tracks ever end (FPS popularity), they will all lose. Nintendo didnt copy all those practices aswell. At one point it become norm because Microsoft got away with it. It wouldnt have, if they didnt. Or at least it would be a much slower process. Microsoft takes the initiative when its about blatantly extorting money from your costumers with no regard to their image.
As such, im showing them that there are consequences for that behaviour. Just like many others did on the X1 unveil when more abuses were announced.

So as I suspected, your rationale is that its not bad if Sony did it PURELY becasue MS did it first... that called giving them a free ride. Its weak.
and Hard drives are bad?
You've lost it.
Like I said all of your posts here are based on hatred for a corporation and their platic bits, thats not healthy you know...

I never said Sony was in the right for copying them. You need not to read things i did not say.
Hard drives are indeed bad for console gaming. It allows lazyness and carelessness. I'm sure you can find plenty of examples of that.
Yes i do dislike microsoft because of the way they treated me as a customer over the years. Its not healthy? I think it would be unhealthier if i kept supporting them for it. Actually, its quite healthy on my wallet!
