Yes, fans of a company who are willing to criticize them in the hopes that they will improve are the worst. The fans who support a company no matter what are the best.

We're a highly critical lot on the whole, just that we're largely in agreement about what the acceptable Nintendo critiques are, and what the unacceptable ones are. The ones who always say "Nintendo should do X, it would be so simple" are usually the faux-fans we're speaking of, when the rest of us have a clearer idea of the way things should be.

Oh god. Stop with the No True Scotsman nonsense. A real fan of Nintendo is just that, someone who likes Nintendo/their products. You don't have to abide by some set standard of criticism towards Nintendo in order to be a fan of them.

I suppose you think you get to determine that I, for example, am not a Nintendo fan, despite buying all of their consoles and the Gamecube being my favorite console of all time, because my criticism doesn't fall under your arbitrary criteria.

And "Nintendo should do X" is an unacceptable criticism? That statement, mixed with the dozens of defensive posts in here, is very telling.
