Get your spaceship welder out: Space Engineers launches on Steam Early Access
Comments2I've spent so much time in space destroying things, from aliens to spaceships (often containing aliens), that I forget to spare a thought for the men and women who are just in space to do a hards day work that doesn't involve death and destruction. Space Engineers is all about those diligent souls, specifically those performing the difficult task of building spaceships and orbital structures. And it sounds marvellous.
If you need a slice of shooting and spaceship destruction in your building sims, then Space Engineers has you covered as well. Still in alpha, it just launched on Steam Early Access, and you can pick it up now for £11.99.
The finer details of Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments
CommentFrogwares has been catering to my twin loves of adventure games and Baker Street's most notorious detective for a good long time. The latest installment of the Sherlock Holmes series, Crimes and Punishments, is currently in development, and Frogwares has been putting tailors to shame.
Over on its devblog, the developer has been showcasing attention to detail that even Mr. Holmes would be impressed with. Victorian London has certainly been given a face lift.
HBO's Real Sports takes a look at League of Legends
CommentHBO's Real Sports corrospondent Soledad O'Brien stepped into the world of e-sports and League of Legends recently, with her report airing a couple of days ago. Instead of being a woefully misinformed look at the sport, the likes of which mainstream media would have thrown out there only a couple of years ago, it's littered with interviews with the likes of Scarra and Riot's Dustin Beck.
By the end of the piece, O'Brien acknowledges just how massive e-sports have become, and there's undoubtedly admiration there. She even quickly defends Scarra's LoL handle when Bryant Gumbel struggles to take it seriously.

This video that our Nick found is a combination of both those things: a video of a community made track in TrackMania 2. It’s absolutely insane.
The Girl and the Robot offers protective detail in Ico-inspired world
CommentThere are a handful of games out there that we had to sacrifice our keyboard and mouse for, instead opting for a controller and console. One of those was Ico, and I think we’ll all admit it was worth hopping over to PlayStation world for that one. If you’re nostalgic for that kind of gameplay, then PC project The Girl and the Robot from indie outfit Flying Carpet Games might be just what you’re after.
