In the short time I spent with it (I was on my lunch break at work), the biggest noticible difference is how it fits in your hands. It's a very comfortable feel where your hands feel like they're in a very natural position. Compared to the DualShock 3, my hands don't feel like they're at as much of an awkward angle andmore, and my entire palms feel wrapped around the controller rather than there being a lot of room to play. The surface of the touchpad feels very nice. I was worried that it wouldn't lend to fluid touch motions, though the coating lets my finger slide quite easily without much friction. The click on it is tactile but not overly "clicky" if that makes much sense. Enough feedback to know you clicked it. The share and options buttons have a softer click to them. They're obviously the least accessible buttons, but I think their placement is right. The triggers are nice too. I was never a huge complainer of the triggers on the DualShock 3 (not a huge FPS guy), but I can see how these are better. I really like the audio jack on the bottom (built in speaker is nice too), and there is another auxilary port next to it. The charging port is up top by the light bar. To be fair, I haven't played enough XBox to offer a fair comparison. |
lulz.
like sessler said, he always though the 360 was the better controller because of the analog position but it turns out it was just ergonomics. i'm soo looking forward to the DS4.
