Thanks for that post my good sir. As much as I do love the competitive scene that is so popular on the different forums and websites, I find that the initial adventure is just as (and in some cases more) important. Like I was saying in a thread asking why Pokemon wouldn't "grow up", is that while Pokemon maybe be child-like in its qualities, it is no way, shape, or form childish.
And in fact, these child like qualities found in XY such as innocence, new found friendship, adventure, and joy are still important to us as adults, and are qualities that should be embraced instead of shunned. And yes, the story, while simple, is quite touching (especially at the very end. Those feels...) and really hits home. I also enjoyed the "villain" this time around. Despite his ultimate goals, I could actually understand where he was coming from and sympathized with him as he accepted his fate.
So all in all, welcome back to Pokemon. Glad to have you with us. ^_^
