The funny thing is I think if Vanquish was a Wii U exclusive launch title that would've done OK. It would've gotten a lot of attention in the launch window to older early adopter if it had good reviews. Zombi U had a window there, but I think the mixed reviews hurt its chances.
The Wonderful 101 ... I think the problem is right now, even kids don't want cartoony style games unless it's an established Nintendo/Disney/LEGO-ized movie brand. So in a weird way the character design worked against the game.
Even on other platforms things like Puppeteer and LBP Karting and so on have bombed.
