They sell their products on the strengths of marketing more than anything else. I am sure how good Disney has been in sustaining some of their older franchises and mascots. They were down in the drain and putting B tier stuff before they acquired Pixar. Sure Pirates of Carribean rakes in a billion dollar each time but how many more of those can they make. I guess there is something to learn from everyone. |
A 2.5D Multiplayer console Mario game is hardly iterative, but okay. Anyway, the point I was making was that the criticism in your original post made no sense. I didn't say anything about marketing or the Disney thing so I'm not really sure why you're bringing that up.
