  I don't see why I need music

I can see why you can say these things. It's obvious you've never played an AA game before

Trust me. Reading the story will ruin part of the fun. But also, by not listening to the music, you'll miss one of the most goosebump-y scenes in videogame history

And I can see why you don't answer my question, because you can't answer it! As long as I have the jist of the story so far, then there's no reason I can't fully enjoy playing through Dual Destinies the same as everyone else.

I don't think it will affect your enjoyment of DD much, although I will say that playing the older games is a much different experience than reading their scripts. That said, if you're just going for DD, you should be fine. You'll probably miss a few inside jokes from the older games in the series here and there, but it shouldn't be anything massive.

The music for Ace Attorney is utterly fantastic, though. It's probably worth looking up on youtube just to listen to even if you're not setting the mood for anything.
