It's 100% skewed. Anyone within reason can see that. You don't operate along those lines, though, so I should have known better. Besides, you used Wiki for that, which can be altered by any and everyone. 

For example, N64 launch games (all territories included):

Pilotwings 64
Saikyō Habu Shōgi
Super Mario 64
FIFA Soccer 64
Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire
Turok: Dinosaur Hunter
Wayne Gretzky's 3D Hockey

NONE of these are multiplat, for example (which is what I was getting at from the beginning). In terms of variety, exclusives were bigger at launches back then and more plentiful. You gave me a laundry list of games that I can find on a competing system when bragging about the X1. 


No it didnt. N64 launched with 5 games. WG3d Hockey, Fifa came out 4 months after launch here. I know because I bought them day 1. Also Shogi never came out here at all.

It does not matter about exclusives or not. If you buy an Xbox 1 you still get to choose those games. The fact Microsoft are also putting in 5 Exclusives is great. Ryse, Killer Instinct, Forza 5, Dead Rising 3 and Zoo Tycoon.

Sorry to chime in, but I seem to remember buying Killer Instict Gold on N64 launch, as well as some others. It lends credence to the bigger exclusives argument.

Nintendo 64 released in March 1997. Killer Instinct Gold released in July 1997. 

Seriously dude. This was my main era. I had 167 N64 games in total. I was a serious Nintendo gamer. 

What country are you in? I only ask because I received my N64 in September 1996, with Super Mario 64 and KI Gold.

EU. UK. Nintendo 64 released in EU in March 1997. Same with Aus. 

Yeah USA here, so it's really apples and oranges. I happen to think that the Wii had one of the best launches anyway as far as exclusives go, back before console gamers became wholly precoccupied with budget and scope.
