They have probably sold less than 500k of the Gta V console bundle, how is that supposed to make up the majority of the 2 million difference in sales?

Like i said before. The game is already bundled and it is sitting in a store right now. Those bundled copies are already marked as sold. 1 million bundles created = 1 million copies of gta v sold on ps3. Whether or not the bundle is sold or not sold. 

You might want to check what this site is tracking, it's sold to customers not sold to retailers.
