They will be getting a lot, probably even most, of the cash from the sales of this game and I can assure you they have heavy, if not full, authority over it. They will want it to be completely multiplatform ASAP. The "it's possible" answers from Respawn, EA reaffirming their commitment to being a multiplatform company when asked about the exclusivity, the picture with suspiciously blurred out areas, credible insiders on GAF saying it's not exclusive, Major Nelson giving an evasive answer and avoiding calling it exclusive when he could have delivered a huge blow....the writing on the wall is in the process of being written. Every company involved would have to play this very politically. I have no doubt that MS would have a heavy NDA in place for a game that is receiving so much attention if it is indeed a timed exclusive. I'm not even going to go into CoD's servers because I've heard that little number before and I'm damn sure not going to bother with the limitations on cloud computing. I'll just say it's not nearly what many people seem to think it will be.

Actually I have no clue and neither do anyone here how much control EA has on Titanfall or Respawn. Its anyone guess what type of deal Vince and Jason made with EA but I would bet that its not what most people would think. Do not forget that Vince and Jason left EA for difference of opinion. Since Vince and Jason were highly sought after when they were let go from Activision, I highly doubt that they would put themselves under an agreement that did not give them freedon to do what they want with their IP no matter who they signed with. Here is a statement from Vince and Jason when they formed Respawn adter giving EA publishing rights.
""We're excited," added Jason West, President of Respawn Entertainment. "Now that the team is in control of the games and brands, we can ensure that the fans are treated as well as they deserve."
There seems to be an assumption that EA owns Titanfall but that is not the case. No one really knows the arrangment between EA and Respawn and what it took EA to win that publishing deal. If people remember when Respawn was formed here is a blub from that whole deal.
"
- Then the bomb detonated: EA announced the formation of Respawn Entertainment from Zampella and West, also adding it was “awarded” full publishing and distribution rights to the developer’s first title via EA Partners. Respawn will maintain full control of whatever IPs it creates.
"
Full Control of your IP means a lot and it means that Respawn can do what they like with Titanfall. Yes, EA is the publishers but saying that EA makes the decisions I believe is not understanding where Vince and Jason are coming from. IF Respawn want the game on the PS4 which they might or might not who knows, it will happen but if they do not, I believe it might not make it. Only time will tell how that shape up.
I am making the case that anything can happen and there is no lock that this game will see the light on any other systems then what was announce. There seems to be this perception that EA is in control but the reality might be different and EA partners is not the same as EA being the publishers of their internal studios. EA wanted Vince and Jason bad and the whole thing blew up because those 2 were looking to leave Activision and were talking with EA for more control of their IP, company direction and total control of what they make. Something tells me that got that deal.
