It's definitely odd, only other retailer exclusive game I can recall was one of those operation rainfall Nintendo JRPG's when it was localized and I assumed that was part of the localization deal, I wonder what kind of deal this was for.  


Target did this with Taylor Swift's Red CD. They got the deluxe version (6 bonus tracks) exclusively.  I always thought retailers played the exclusive content like system manufacturers
