I will wait for reviews to see if it actually makes a difference. The tests with the PS3 showed it didn't matter if it was an SSD or not, so it's worth waiting to see if that changes with the PS4.

I was thinking the same thing, though the backup/restore process is kind of a pain, so I was hoping to just do it at launch.  I guess I won't have a ton of data on there between now and the middle of next year...maybe I will wait.  Let others be the beta testers for once.

Is it bad? I've never done it. I was planning to move the PS4 drive to my PS3 and get a big (maybe SSD) one for the PS4, but only after I've seen reviews.

On PS3 if you have a lot of data it takes a pretty long time to backup and restore.  The physical replacement process is super easy though.  SSDs are far too expensive to be worth it for a size bump in the PS3 or PS4, though if SSHDs show a performance bump you get the best of both worlds with speed and affordability.

I'd rather not go with a Seagate so I'm waiting for Western Digital's drives to be on the market for awhile I guess.
