So the game is a failure if it doesn't have those gimmicky finishers? I take it you don't play any Capcom fighters because they don't have them either. I assume you also don't ever watch any high level Evo gameplay since they don't ever do finishers in games that actually have them. Gameplay > gimmicks

Oh but easy long combos for the sake of long combos isn't a gimmick? No double standards there at all.
Every fighter has an identity, Mortal Kombat without recognisable characters, fatalities or gore isn't Mortal Kombat anymore, same way Killer Instinct missing most of its identity isn't Killer Instinct anymore.
Evo really doesn't matter for judging on the quality of a fighter and mass appeal, Marvel vs Capcom 2 was a broken mess yet was at Evo for years, Street Fighter III was at Evo for years yet SFIII was hated by most SF fans and so disliked due to abandoning the series identity it killed the SF series for a decade.

It's still Killer Instinct. It just has just been changed to be like Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat.

Ok. Sorry but its obvious your now talking rubbish. You havent read any hands on OBVIOUSLY by your last comment.
The game mechanics are the same at basic level as previous KI games. But Double Helix have added better mechanics involving Combos. Where the players have now got layers of strategy. The game is nothing like Street Fighter. Either do some research, Play the game or just quietly wish you could play it ( which is what is going on here. )

I haven't say anything different than what you are saying. You're just assuming that I am attacking the game. Some combos are rush combos, unlike old KI and more like Capcom fighters. There are also move gauges on the bottom of the screen. Arial attacks are more akin to Mortal Kombat with specific characters like Sadira. Good god you guys are paranoid.
