It's probably over-tracked somewhere considering how the press release Nintendo gave said specifically that it reached over 4 million worldwide in 2 days. vgchartz' numbers are probably off worldwide by several hundred thousand considering how they only have data for 1 day. They likely didn't get 4 million in one day.

japan is right (media create/famitsu), Europe looks right(believable), US might ge overtracked by 100k, maybe up to 200k. Even though its one day sales lots of people bought the game during midnight launch or that day. Nintendo stating over 4mil in 2 days but they never gave a specific number which could be much higher! ( it can be anywhere between 4mil-4.5mil) Its not as bad though cuz 2nd day sales in US could of been like 100k-300k right? Europe another 50k-100k!

But Anyway still good it outsold Diamond/Pearl!

I'm referring to specifically one day, Oct. 12. Vgchartz states 4.1 million in ONE day....that's too much for one day. That means the second day had a HUGE drop in sales worldwide if it still remained within the lower 4 million range for Nintendo to refer to it as simply "over 4 million" (includes digital) for two days. 4.1 mil in its first day means quite a bit less than 400K were sold worldwide for its second day...

It's probably overtracked even in Japan for its first day on this site, because while VGChartz states the sales week ending Oct 13, the worldwide totals are only for Oct. 12. 1.90 million for two days doesn't seem too far off, so the 12th was probably overtracked for Japan, and the 13th was probably undertracked.........unless for some reason Vgchartz' Oct. 12 sales include Japans Oct. 13 (giving Japan the extra day for worldwide Oct. 12 sales, which makes no sense to do)........
