uh, that depends on what companies want to import over, they have a lot of gag stuff from Japan too, a lot of people just wouldn't get the culture references unless you know Japan or some other Asian histories really well.

I think we should also look at the fact that there are very few American animations that focus on anything that isn't comedy.  Japanese animation, on the other hand, has a lot you can find.
