Why Drive CLub being Delayed isn't a big deal (America)

Of course nobody buys it *only* for DC but I am still considering cancelling my preorder. For 400+ euro what do I get? Knack? No, thanks. KZ for 59 euros? And the indies don't get me. Really Sony, contrast for DC? No way. Still I want to try the console out :( But somehow I think I should wait for a slim model which is cheaper.

The launch line-up is really not good in my opinion, especially worse without DC which looked like a lot of fun to me.

But within about 3 months you are going to have Drive Club and inFamous. I don't know what games you are interested in, but I will be kept busy by Killzone and AC IV primarily, then also Need for Speed and FIFA. I wasn't actually planning on buying Drive Club, since NfS looks more fun, but I was going to play the free version. Watch_Dogs' delay is more of a dissapointment for me

Looking at your avatar, you might be better off waiting, since South Park comes out in December, but there is no guarantee that you'll be able to get a console in Feburary. Another few months from then you'll get Destiny and Watch_Dogs, so there is plenty on the horizon

I don't want to spend 400 euros to play games I can play on 360, too. Killzone looks good, yes! But this is *one* game for 450+ euros! No thanks. Perhaps I have to clarify: I don't buy games at release. I wait until they drop in price. DC was perfect for me as it was free. I am a racing fan and I always had a "horizon feeling" with DC which I loved. So I could've tested the new controller, the graphics, the sharing stuff... All that is interesting with a new console.

As I said, I still didn't cancel my preorder... Perhaps I will use it as an expansive bluray-player until the good games come
