I know it's worse, but then again - every single Vita game would be worse on 3DS, cause the console is inferior. There is no way around it. Vita is often able to keep up with PS360 (not all the time obviously), but a 3DS version would always be far inferior and the sales just don't justify putting much more effort and money into 3DS games. It's 1st party that sales, both on 3DS and Wii U. In fact I'm sure had RE:R release on Vita the same day it released on 3DS, it would sell better there.

LOL...that's funny because the best selling game on the Vita so far is Uncharted: GA and it barely managed to scrape 1 mil in sales!!! Uncharted scraping for less than 1mil in sales despite price-cuts and being one of the best known Sony franchise ON THE VITA A SONY SYSTEM THAT WAS SUPPOSE TO BE MUCH MORE SUPERIOR TO IT"S COMPETITOR!!!  While RE:R  a third party title (non-Sony title) sold 750K units on the 3DS and Capcom still bitched about it(true story)!!! IF it was released on the Vita then I'd hate to see the whinning Capcom would have done with those possible sales.  AC:III Liberation barely sold the same amount of units despite a massive marketing campaign and being bundled with the Vita's for it's second Christmas holiday!!!

I see nothing funny with what I've said. I guess you should read it again carefully, cause you probably didn't get what I've written. I'm not saying it would sell more than 750k on Vita. I'm saying RE:R being a multiplat would sell better on Vita than on 3DS. The Vita sales would obviously eat into the 3DS sales, so they wouldn't come close to 750k, thus would be possible to beat on Vita.

Also there are 3 3rd party games that sold 500k+ on Vita, as you can easily put Persona 4G there, since it's just a few retail copies below, but easily made the jump thanks to digital sales. And there are only 13 3rd party games on 3DS (where did you get 16 from!?) And it's a fact that 3rd parties don't sell on 3DS. First of all - compare the hardware base and suddenly that 13 doesn't look that awesome and remember that one of those games is MH, which is strong enough that it manages to sell despite being on a Nintendo console. Also the other games are some of the biggest franchises in history, like Dragon Quest (2 games), Kingdom Hearts, Resident Evil or Cooking Mamma ;) Other 3rd parties that aren't huge franchises and managed to make it past the 500k level just barely managed to make it so yeah, it's not that rosey.

3DS is ahead in this department not because it's so good, but because Vita is so bad and Sony is, hopefully, yet to do something about it.

@MohammadBadir - cool. Now compare them to GR.

I could easily claim the digital sales of the 3DS as well but since it's not track than it's a moot point.  I don't think Vita and 3DS sales would eat into each other due to the fact that Vita is only supported by the Sony fanbase (looking at the low sales of both hardware and software) and not overall attractive to the avarage handheld gamer.  Seriously now you guys are saying that the userbase now matters?  So then even if a game sells to 1/8 of the user base of the 3DS it would still be twice the amount it would sell compared to 3/4 the user base found on the Vita to match that!!!  Now that's quite pathetic in my opinion as no game even Mario/LoZ/GoW would sell to 3/4 of a hardware's userbase!!  Digitals sales do count but since we can't track them it shouldn't count.  Otherwise 3DS sales would even be much more than what the Vita already has!!!
