Perhaps, but more importantly it's overtracked in the US overall by over 1.6 million lol

Thats... Quite bad. Wonder why Brett aint done anything to change it.

No kidding. No clue it was that overtracked. I actually expect the the 360 to be close to spot on by now. Maybe Kowen's been right all this time! O_O

To be fair.  It was pure logic.

360 and PS3 have been overtracked in US for ages.

360 is undertracked globally.  1.55m on shelves is nonsense at this stage in its life.

None of this is new, Ive been saying it for ages.

You might want to check your numbers, if Microsoft annouced their total shipments as of the end of this quarter then you are missing the week of the 5th of October from your data, and if MS's 80m was as of the date they released the statement then you are missing two weeks worth of sold data, so no there's not 1.55m on shelves.

Do you have a RSS feed on my quotes or something?

80.00m at least for end of September shipped.

VGC is 78.45m end of September.

This isnt 1.55m difference?  I need to return to school then.

Congratulations on missing out the part of my post where i explain why you're wrong. The tracking month of September in npd doesn't end exactly on the last day of the month. September is a 5 week tracking month and the tracking ended on the 5th of October, so when MS announced 80m shipped 'this month' you're either missing the first 2 days worth of data from the week of the 29th September till the 5th of October or you're missing the entire 7 days worth depending on how MS have decided to frame the data. Either way it's not 1.55m on shelves. But hey here's a fun fact, at this time of year with Black Friday sales about to hit even if 1.55 million consoles were on shelves then that supply would only last for 8 weeks. The 360 is undertracked by a couple of hundred thousand at most.
