Blackguards – Daedalic delays its The Dark Eye-based game into January 2014
Daedalic Entertainment has delayed its grim fantasy, turn based strategy RPG Blackguards into January. The game, based on the German role-playing game The Dark Eye, needs some extra time so it will shine, and to “ensure the highest quality,” said senior producer Kai Fiebig. Blackguards will now be available January 2014 for PC. A set of screenshots are below.

The original Call of Duty’s Starlingrad mission springs to mind. Despite the fact we’d never want to go to war though, we won’t mind if your development team strives as much as it can to make virtual war as realistic as possible. That’s what Gaijin Entertainment has been doing for War Thunder. They’ve strapped a bunch of microphones to a load of WW2 era tanks to record every squeak, tick and roar. All in the name of historiacal authenticity.

Creative Assembly on patching Rome II: "We’re achieving in weeks what, on previous projects, took months"
Comments1Total War: Rome II is getting better - and not even ‘buy in the Steam Christmas Sale’ better. If the patch notes of the recent flurry of weekly updates are anything to go by, it’s already significantly closer to being the game players had hoped it would be.
Tomorrow’s patch will bring new, free DLC to the game and Creative Assembly’s “next major step towards mod support”. Beyond that, the Total War series will enjoy a path of post-release betterment it never has before.
