Been talking with my friends and we all have lots of different experences. Recently I have blow away a couple of people's minds with Green Tea Ice Cream (It's good!) and Rose Ice Cream (Also, very good!)
I'm including sorbets too. A friend of mine make Lychee Sorbet - he says it is so good he will stab you with a fork if you try to take some. So I haven't tried it yet.
But I have had Mango, Lime, Durian, Soursap, Lemon, Cherry, and so many other traditional flavors.
My favorite home made one is 'French Vanilla' (made from a custard base with real vanilla beans.) It has the little black seeds from the Vanilla pod (orchid) in it.
Another favorite is Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough! Vanilla Ice cream, with bit of, you gussed it, chocolate chip cookie dough!
My my ALL TIME favorite has to be Mint Chocolate Chip! I love mint, I love chocolate - it's a perfect world when the two work together. (I recently had to pull asside a fellow mint chocolate lover and explain to him that not all the world sees things the way we do. He was shocked - couldn't imagine anyone not loving it. I had to poll the people around us; he learned the world doesn't see it the same. He is close to 60, lol.
