True but i seen wayyyy more talk about persona 4 golden than SMT4, when i talk to people who own a vita, 9 times out of 10 peronsa 4 golden will be a game they own/bought a vita for, both in real life and on the internet. It may be a remake but people treat it as a brand new game.

I don't really understand your second sentence, why wouldn't a persona remake out sell a brand new SMT game? I mean persona 3 portable sold 500k+.... almost 200k more than the previously highest sold SMT game, nocturne.

SMT Nocturne had a low print when it was first released.  Due to how much of a cult classic it was, it was reprinted three times.

While Atlus had a small amount of fans on the PSX, it was  the PS2 where they grew to be more well known.  It was a slow start but it wasn't until the end of the PS2s life that Atlus become as well known as they are now.  Persona 3 was when Atlus received heavy advetrisement through the local news media because the characters shot themselves in the head.  You could argue  Persona 3 FES how it sold more, but I'll argue that most people didn't know about Persona 3 FES being announced in Japan prior to the US release of Persona 3.  I think that if most people were fans of Atlus earlier, then they'd have played SMT Nocturne when it came out just as they would have played Persona 3 and Persona 4.

You also see way more talk about Persona 4 than SMT4 because SMT4 was a very disappointing sequel.  It's a good game, but it's a good game that is much worse than the last few Persona or SMT releases, not counting Soul Hackers which is a port of a game that's really not too great.
