Not for people who want to play Killer Instinct it isn't. It's much cheaper than paying for a Campaign mode you will never play. I think the pricing model is much better than paying for DLC personally. I get a new fighting game in a franchise I love and can compete online, that's all I want. That's if I had the money to get an X1, but that's another story.
