The problem with that is that... I think most of the competitive e sports fighting fans are on the Playstation due to the better D-pad. (Not all pro's tend to get official/prosticks.)

I mean it could be... I'm just talking anectdotally, but the fighter obssessed people i knew were in love with the original Xbox, moved to PS3 and now pretty much are as big a "faboys" as you can get.  Taunting the hell out of the various Xbox One news.

I use to go to a lot of Fighting game tournaments and the reason why most are on the PS3 is not because of the Dpad.  No real competitive gamer uses a Dpad instead they will use a custom joystick made somewhere outside of the US or they will pick up one of the already built high end sticks made with arcade parts.  

Fighting game players go to the system that has the bigger gaming base and that is the PS3.  The PS community is larger on the PS3 than the Xbox and this is the reason why most game on the PS3.
