Real names among people on your friends list should be fine, in fact just make it like steam, so you can change yoru name when ever you want, to be anything you want

well, at least on 360 you can change your gamertag whenever you want ( but for money lol). you can also put your real name in your bio or as motto  if you want to let your friends know who you are even if you change your gamertag.

i'm just not sure why someone would like to use his real name as gamertag because every random person would see that as well when you play online and some get mad and will try to hate on you on the interent. but like i said, if someone wants to do that he should be allowed to. 

its easy, for friends it displays your real name, for people not on your friends list it displays your gamertag.
