You do realize you can remotely whipe Sony consoles online? You have to do them all at once, but it's not hard to switch the consoles back to active.

This works out better for me. There's quite a few times when I wanted to just login play games on another PS3 and then not care if I don't login again. But I couldn't' do that since the two PS3 slots were taken my two at home.
