The hands on impressions ive read do differ from what you say.
I love the videos of old KI fans playing this new one. They are so happy at the end, like someone just gave them all gold bars.

I've been playing fighting games since pretty much I just about six years old. I watched people play the original KI and KI has NEVER had a low barrier of entry on a competitive level. This game will demand more time than both Street Fighter and Tekken to master. Combo breakers are harder to predict now as well. For fighting fans this is good, but for newbs..lol...not so good. Wasn't it you who said that you haven't purchased a fighting game since Soul Calibur 2? Good luck bro...good luck. Thats all I have to say.

I still play KI GOLD every now and then. I might dust off my fighters I have to brush up. LOL.

No offense but the N64 controller is probably the worst controller for this type of game. I would go back to the SNES version or Arcade version on a PC at best with a pad or something. If you want to thats cool though, just giving out a friendly opinion for optimum experience. The reason I say combo breakers will be harder this time because you get punished for missing a combo breaker and theres an internal clock that penalizes you from trying for three seconds. If you hit it you better hit it right. If you dont your opponent gets a larger window to continue their combos. This is bad for inexperiened gamers they are trying to reach out to. They say its easier to implement, but even if it is you better hit.
