Because most of the original KI fans probably have no intention of getting a XBone, but even if they did this game is butchering all the classic characters with new designs that may as well make them new characters, and if all new characters may as well be a different IP.  Plus the game will have barely any characters, plus the game is releasing in what is probably the single worst way to release a fighting game.

Simply yelling C-C-C-Combo Breaker does not make a Killer Instinct game.

I have the 2 games in the OP sat on my shelf. I probably layed more KI thanmost people here. 

KI for The One looks like a brilliant move forward to the series. Great artwork and fantastic speed. The character design is really good. The old design of Thunder would not look good or work today. The game has been moved well into 2013. All the previews are highly positive for this title. So no yelling CCCCC Combo Breaker isnt the only thing that is making this game a must have.

The gameplay and visuals are getting great praise. Thats all that matter right there.
