Yes... and projections change. Just ask Nintendo about the Wii U's start. If Sony is selling better than expected they can produce more... Again, just ask Nintendo about the Wii's start. Now, Sony has taken over a million pre-orders in countries that will launch in November and has repeatedly said they will produce more than that for people who hadnt preordered... They will sell nearly half of 4 million in November alone... Now, unless Sony doesn't produce anymore in December then I can not see less than 2million sales for the month. In January - March Sony will produce about a million more to reach their 5million... these are typical sales
