Yep let us all argue that we can't compare Plus to Gold because it is unfair to Gold, well I believe it is unfair to lock parts of games people pay for behind a pay wall.
You cannot have Plus without PSN. So for 50 a year you get PSN plus all these free rentals, discounts and other features. For 0 you still get PSN.
For 0 you get the ability to download games, movies and demos from the Xbox marketplace that is it. For 60 you get access to apps like netflix and hulu plus, cross game chat, better match making, and a couple old 360 games for free a month in addition to finally being able to play the multi-player parts of games you bought.
Basically if you want access to every part of your games then you have to buy Live. Sony provides that for free and then offers a premium service for its on top of that.
So maybe I was wrong and there is no comparison after all.
