Exp share makes you literally train wreck the entire game. I love the game to freaking bits, but I do have to say that this has to be the easiest pokemon game by far. I know that's not saying much since I could beat every pokemon game with just my starter, but this one is even easier since my other party pokemon end up getting leveled up even though I never even need to bring them out. That said I like exp share. It encourages me to go catch/breed and use other pokies besides just my starter. That's why even though I've only just beat gym 6, my team consists of all starters fully evolved, garchomp, blaziken and charizard. All of them around level 60. There's pretty much nothing the game can do to me at this point lol.
I love the fact that GTS and connectivity with other players is so well built into the game. It just feels natural to keep your 3DS connected to the interwebz, which makes you feel as though you are having a journey with millions of people at the same time. I haven't even finished the game yet, but I bred my Amaura (fossil pokemon) a ton of times and traded on GTS to get all the Kalos and Kanto starters. Loving everything so far, and once I finish the game, I can finally start building a competitive team to fight with people online properly. That's where the challenge of pokemon is anyway. Fighting other people competitively.
