I do understand that, but I'd rather they didn't bring it back at all than bring it back without the cast being able to get together.

The Lindsay & George Snr. episodes were truly painful to watch.  It was only when they got up to GOB/Lucille/Maeby that the show truly felt like Arrested Development again.

Plus, the whole season felt filled with character assassination.  I know the Bluth's were always an unlikeable family, but they hit some ridiculous new lows in S4.

Blame the creator for those lows :P.  I'll disagree here cause I enjoyed the 4th season.  It isn't nearly as bad as those Simpsons seasons at their worst.  Though Simpsons has gotten better over the years cause they switched focus back to mundane vs visual/shock gags.
