@Kratos: I don't know what you're talking about. The PS3 was supposed to crucify both the 360 and the Wii as soon as it came out, taking much more than 50% marketshare. Both analysts and gaming fans alike used to say so.

@The Fury: That depends on the countries, I believe in Scandinavia and in Germany the 360 was outselling the PS3 before the latter got a 33% price cut. I'm not saying this will change radically, but the 360 could start regaining ground once Microsoft cuts their prices.

Can't you guys get over the nonsense crap Sony PR put out at PS3's launch? By now Sony pretty much turned it around. They cut PS3 manufactoring costs and immediately lowered the PS3 price. They have some kick ass games coming out of their own studios and also great 3rd party support. They offer free online play and are working on making the PSN even better with Home, etc, and it's still going to be free. They have a great piece of hardware and a very reliable console.

Eventually games like MGS4, FFXIII and GT5 will push more consoles in ALL regions. Free online play and Home will push consoles in ALL regions. Blu-ray will push consoles in ALL regions. Sony is in for a good 4-5 years, can the same be said for MS or even Nintendo?

As far as I can see Sony is about to make history by turning a failed console launch into a very successful console.

Now my far fetched prediction... I predict a $299 PS3 with full software BC by Christmas 2008. Also next Christmas , the PS3 will more than double 360 sales (for the season) and will beat the Wii.

Optimistic predictions for 2008 (Feb 5 2008): Wii = 20M, PS3 = 14M, X360 = 9.5M
