What do you suggest millions of users around the world should use? Linux?

This development will slowly make room for alternatives. Personally I'd like to see Linux take Windows's spot, but I doubt it's going to happen. Either way, I think I'm going to like the change when it eventually happens.

sorry to disappoint you but that's not the case at all. I suggest some research. 

I never go jumping up and down unless for some reason I want to jump (in which case it's totally unrelated to other things). MS is slowly losing ground, largely due to the rise of mobile devices that often run something else than Windows. PCs are, in the large scale, losing their relevance, which makes Windows less relevant, which in turn gives other options a better chance. And this just happened to be the first time I remember hearing about MS really losing some support, which made me glad.
