oh shit, i just realized; i was using the threads in this forum that have weekly sales numbers for each console
the problem was that it runs nov-oct, not jan-dec
so that 5 million 360s is not for the rest of the year, but only until october
so 360 projects to sell 5 million + holiday numbers, or more like 8 million
so ps3 needs more like 14-15 million more sales...3 million 360 holiday sales would mean 70k more ps3 sales/week needed, so we are looking at 320k+ average for ps3
in other words, ps3 has to TRIPLE the previous year's sales this year to catch up
again, it is NOT happening...the data just doesn't back up that prediction
u seriously believe the ps3 will sell 14+ million more in march->december?
